Meredith Salenger

Salenger was raised and born in Malibu, California. Salenger was a performer in the presence of her parents and close friends in her early years. In the midst of her eight the mother of her child took her to her very first class in acting. Her first performance was in a minor role as an orphan singing and dancing in the film Annie produced by John Huston. Salenger was also featured in several commercials for television. Salenger's first starring role was on The Disney movie The Journey of Natty Gann with John Cusack and Ray Wise which was the first US film to be awarded the gold award during the Moscow Film Festival. It also won her "Best actor in a drama" at the Youth in Film Awards for her portrayal as the charming Natty Gann.
