Lucy Lawless comes from New Zealand. She's an actor as well as a musician. Her name is most well-known in her craft for her notable performances in a variety of top-rated television films and series, including Xena: Warrior Princess, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, and Spartacus: The Vengeance. Her most enduring memory is the portrayal she gave of Xena. Lucy played the role of Vanessa Angel after Vanessa was unwell and was unable to take part in the shoot. In September 1995 the show was relaunched as a spinoff based on her portrayal of Xena. The spin-off show received another blow in terms of ratings and importance to the culture and made the series run for six seasons. It also helped boost Lucy's fame as an actress. In addition to being widely acclaimed by her fans for the role of Xena on NBC's smash sitcom Parks and Recreation from 2012-2015 She is also known for her recurring roles in Parks and Recreation as Diane Lewis Swanson.
